Abstract: 

The course had several objectives: to provide an understanding of good technique, careful observation, crit. evaluation of data, probability, statistical anal., and exptl. error. Commonly used forensic science techniques were covered during lecture, demonstration, or lab. presentations: fingerprinting, crime scene photog., polygraph tests, voice prints, handwriting comparisons, document anal., chem. microscopy, blood alcohol tests, and firearms identification (ballistics).
